In the sunny hills of Los Angeles California, our team partnered up with the amazing UK production company Sitcom Soldiers for an incredible 24 hour music video shoot. Under their keen direction our team was in control of the cinematography for this piece. Our artist, Jraffe, navigates his way through an upbeat west coast party filled with sun, girls, and good music. The goal here was to portray fun, sun, love, luxury, and the laid back west coast lifestyle. Utilizing steadicams, jibs, and creative lighting, we found that this piece truly paid tribute to its title… California.
For this piece our camera set up included; Ursa Mini Pro 4.6k, Xeen Cinema Lenses, and the Devin Graham Signature Series GlideCam (no shooters vest in case you were wondering). We achieved our lighting set ups with Arri Sky Panels, M-18’s w/gels, Kino Flo’s, bounce boards, and over a dozen bi-color quasar tubes.
This music video came to life by working closely with the amazing Gaffer Tom Shepard.
We always find joy in our work, whether its view by 10 people or 10,000 people. For us it is the creation of a concept, long production days, and endless hours of editing that remind us how lucky we are to be creating videos for a living. That being said, when your video or project is viewed by the masses, you cannot deny the excitement. We strive for our work to be loved by all people, and to see this California music video receive over 1.5 million views is something we will never forget. Thank you so much Sitcom Soldiers for bringing our team on board for this video.
